The Assassins Creed games after Origins had unique multi-level gear, levels, and abilities that made the experience more of an RPG than the original start of the series. By making it more of an RPG experience, the development team added new features to accommodate this, such as a new game mode plus. With Assassin’s Creed Valhalla also following the same patterns, players are likely to expect a new game mode plus to be accessible in this game with some unique twists.
While Valhalla doesn’t have a new game mode plus at launch, it likely won’t. Prior to that, the previous games, Origins and Odyssey, had a new game mode plus added to the game a few months after release. Ubisoft added the mode to the game in a later patch and made it available to anyone who owns it.
Even though Valhalla doesn’t have a new game mode anymore at the time of writing, don’t worry. The feature will likely be included in early 2021 and will be released as a free update. If you can’t wait to get back into Valhalla early on, you can always start a brand new game and fight your way. But it doesn’t hurt to beat the game, put it down, and then come back to it in a few months when Ubisoft announces its release.
