ESO Gold Guide

ESO Gold Guide

ESO Gold Guide

Gold in Elder Scrolls Online is often easy to find, but even easier to spend. Equipment upgrades, design pages, furnishings, storage chests, bank and character inventory upgrades, assembly training – these are just a few of the ways you can spend your gold.

Most importantly, you can trade gold for crowns, which means you can use in-game gold to purchase cosmetic items and account upgrades that are normally sold for cash. real. All this makes it very attractive to win gold in this game.

Almost everything you do in ESO will give you gold. The point is, I have never played any game where making gold was so easy. But if you want to take your income to the next level, you will have to engage in agricultural and commercial activities. Some are better than others, and this Gold ESO guide will give you easy ways to earn it.

Important: join the commercial guilds!

Master Merchant Sales

The Master Merchant addon can display lots of useful numbers and statistics about item sales in guild stores.

ESO definitely lacks the means to grind pure gold or supplier waste. If you hope to earn a significant amount of gold, you will need to join at least one trade guild. Remember that you can be a member of 5 player guilds at the same time.

Any worthwhile trade guild will have weekly sales, and it’s up to you how much you can sell per week. The weekly requirements of 5k or 10k are very easy to exceed even for new players. Most 10k guilds will have good guild merchant spots every week, making it easier and faster to sell goods.

The majority of the gold-making tips included in this guide will involve selling items to trade guilds.

Master Merchant Tooltip

Master Merchant tooltip shows item prices

To successfully sell items in guild stores, you should definitely consider installing Master Merchant. This interface addon will display average item prices on tooltips, allowing you to set item prices precisely. Prices will be collected on all sales in the guilds of which you are a member.

See How to install add-on interface modules for help if you need it.

Master Merchant (MM) will also show you sales for everyone in any guild you are in. This gives you an easy overview of what players are selling, and if you dig enough, it can give you even more ideas for making gold.

There are a few other alternatives to MM. The most common is Tamriel Trade Center, allowing you to check the prices of items online.

Now let’s start with some tips for making gold!

Alts for daily writs

Put back in a daily Brief craftsmanship (craft quest) gives you a little more than 600 g of maximum level character. With 7 professions, this equates to more than 4,200 g per day, per character. This is direct gold received in exchange for quests, to the exclusion of other rewards.

The materials used to make the items required for orders are generally less than 200 g in total. This cost is easily offset by these other rewards that you can receive:

  • Investigation reports – around 2,000 g of documents from a single report. You can expect one per day per character, easily.
  • Legendary upgrade / upgrade materials – 2,000 g – 8,000 g each. Maybe one a week.
  • Ornate and intricate elements – mainly waste from sellers, but complex jewelry-making items can easily be sold in guild stores for a few hundred gold per piece.
  • Other craft materials – enough to offset the manufacturing cost of 200 g, then some.
  • Master Writs – can cost from 1,500 g to more than 50,000 g. Unfortunately, this requires fully level professions, which is not always recommended (see below).
  • Provisioning Recipes – try to get Provisioning at rank 2 as soon as you can – blue recipes are often worth around 2000g.
Daily craft rewards

With fully leveled professions, this is very common.

Right now, I have 8 characters doing daily writing. That’s 33,600g every day. Including craft materials and main scriptures, it easily exceeds 50,000g per day. Doing these daily on each character takes about 5 minutes: certainly a lot of work, but much simpler than any other gold mill.

Tip: to save a lot of time, get Lazy Writ Crafter by Dolgubon Add. It allows you to skip the dialog when taking and delivering brief quests, and create clothing, blacksmiths, jewelry, and carpentry with one click. The icing on the cake, this addon will also open containers with materials. Absolute must have, and a huge time saver.

In addition, as if all the above mentioned rewards were not enough, you can also take Hirelings on each character for even more free crafting materials. This makes it easy to support all craft efforts without growing additional materials.

Another tip: spend 30 Champion Points in the Tower tree for 20% more inspiration.

Best of all, you don’t need to level up professions. In fact, it is cheaper to make clothing, woodwork and jewelry making with starting materials. The downside is that you can’t get Master Writs unless you use higher level materials.

Here’s what I recommend to cut costs and save time:

  • Forging, clothing and woodworking: maintain competence at the lowest level to use the cheapest materials. Finally, try to level these occupations at 32 for Rank 3 Hirelings.
  • Jewelry making: Keep Engraver at level 1 for the cheapest tin materials, or go from level 2 to 4 to resell intermediate level materials. Rank 5 is not recommended (platinum costs twice as much as tin and you need 6 times more per daily quest; master jewelry is almost not always worth it).
  • Provisioning: everything except lower and upper rank. Medium-level blue and purple recipes are worth 1,500 g or more, you will get one every few days for each character. It’s more profitable than getting quite rare Master Writs. The highest and lowest level recipes are extremely inexpensive. Any rank higher but not higher is the best, allowing high level Hirelings and points in Chef and Brewer if necessary.
  • Alchemy: aim for the maximum level. Get at least level 2 as soon as possible: you can sell excess mid-level potion and poisoned vials.
  • Enchanting: go to the next level, if necessary. Level 32 recommended for rank 3 Hirelins.
Sales of recipes

Provisioning receipts are selling well and are more common than main journal entries.

Intermediate level recipe

Intermediate level provisioning revenue is generally worth 10 times that of the lowest and highest level.

Note: you can create supplies and alchemy items with your main character, and use these items to place orders on any character in your account.

Your main character should have points allocated in Alchemy’s Chemistry (produces 3 additional potions or poisons for the same amount of materials), and Chief and Brewer (3 additional foods and drinks for the same quantity of materials).

This will save you tons of materials and gold. You can also save time by making many items in advance. This is particularly useful for alchemy and sourcing, since the Lazy Writ addon from Dolgubon does not work with these two professions.

Here is a brief breakdown of the maximum expected daily costs:

Daily craft quests – breakdown of material costs
Basic materials Cost Maximum level materials Cost
Forge 12-18 Iron Ingot 70g 40 Rubedite Ingot 120g
Clothing 12-18 Jute / Rawhide 110g / 70g 42 Ancestor silk / Rubedo skin 1360g / 360g
The Woodcraft 12-16 Maple 60g 40 Sand ruby ash 1100g
Jewelry making 5-6 tin 35g 30 ounces of platinum 300 grams

Filling a brief with basic materials will make you 25 raw hides / jute, iron and maple, much more than you spend. You will also receive 5 pewter, but it will run out of runes. However, this is easily offset by the ridiculous number of Investigation reports you will receive with large caches of material.

Last tip: think about doing daily newsrooms in cities with easily accessible craft stations. My favorite is Rawl’Kha (Reaper’s March). The writing tables and all the craft stations are very close to each other, as are the stables, the bank, and the outlaw shelter.

The biggest drawback to this method of making gold is certainly the time it takes to level up and gain skill points. Doing a few quests (mainly those that grant skill points) and daily XP dungeon rewards should get you to level 50 in just over a month.

Connecting with multiple characters each day isn’t fun either, but it takes a maximum of five minutes per character (don’t forget to train supports as well!).

But it’s worth it. My 8 characters who write every day mean that I get one million (1,008,000 g) of pure gold over 30 days without sweating. This is more than enough so that I never even had to consider buying ESO gold.

Daily Quests (for patterns)

All DLC areas have daily quests that reward the patterns. It sounds like obvious advice, but many of them can be very profitable.

By the time you read these prices may change, but I have found Summerset and Murkmire daily to be among the most profitable. Not only can you get decent value designs (5000 g +), but also other valuables:

  • All three Summerset daily prices Culanda hairspray stylish hardware every time. It sells for 3,000 g of pop. This is guaranteed 9,000g per day (and per character if you wish).
  • Murkmire dailies often reward Hackwing plumage (over 1500 g) and Crocodile skin (200g) style materials.
  • To sweeten the deal, each daily quest achievement will also give you over 300g in addition to other item rewards.

Daily Quest Sales

Note: You can initially only complete two quests in Summerset or Murkmire. Access to the third daily quest is unlocked by completing the main quest for the area scenario. You can also get daily quests shared by other players, allowing you to complete more than a dozen daily quests in Summerset each day (that’s over 10 lacquers).

The designs of newer DLCs are generally more expensive. It is highly recommended to start doing daily pattern quests as soon as possible if you have access to any new DLC. In the first few days, prices are incredibly high, often reaching over 100,000g per page of design.

Buy runes from suppliers

You don’t expect to be able to buy items from NPC vendors and resell them in guild stores for profit, but you are wrong. This is possible through ESO’s fragmented guild stores, as opposed to a server-wide central auction house.

Idode Runestone

Idode is sold by the seller for 87g, and its average price on guild stores is 300g.

All enchanting sellers will sell you Runestones of Power. These are necessary to make glyphs, but perhaps more importantly, players need them to perform daily tasks.

The Idode rune as shown in the screenshot above can be purchased for 87g per piece from Enchanter NPCs, while my master merchant shows an average price of 300g for each.

It’s beautiful and good, but does anyone really buy that?

Idode Sales

My Idode sales over 2 weeks

If you have a master merchant and you are in trade guilds, do not hesitate to check the sales yourself. Prices can fluctuate and change, but it’s a decent way to make a quick profit every few days.

There are many other Runestones that are worth more on guild stores than on suppliers, including Derado, Edora, Kura and Odra, to name a few. The profits are lower for these, but you can still get good margins or more easily reach sales quotas for the needs of the guild.

Resell prismatic enchantments

The Hakeijo Essence rune is very rare and costs around 10,000 g. Kuta weighs approximately 2400 g. Truly superb Glyph of prismatic defense sells easily for around 15,000 g.

Manufacturing of prismatic glyphs

At a cost of 12500 g with quick sales, this is an easy way to make 1000 g or more each day. Notice the time between sales in the image above: these things sell like hotcakes in my guilds.

It is also one of the easiest ways to stay in guilds with very high gold requirements, and even to make extra profits.

Buy furniture recipes

Very few plans, models, diagrams and other furnishing recipes are sold by sellers. Sometimes you can even resell them in guild stores for profit.

Furnishing plans

Plan: Stool, carved

Shown above is Stool, carved plan sold by carpentry sellers. You can see that it costs 270g to buy it from a seller, while it sells for 1500g on my guild stores.

Saddle Master Plan Sales

Saddle Master Plan Sales

Now, this is certainly not the path to wealth, but if you have to fill these guild slots and get a few extra coins along the way, it can help. There are many other furnishing recipes that can be sold, many with much better profit margins.

Character search elements

Some features are more difficult to obtain than others. As players deconstruct objects or just don’t want to bother getting them in the first place, some come at a high price.

Less common features that you can try to sell include:

  • Lightning staff – decisive, training
  • Hell Staff – Sharpened
  • Medium belt – Divines
  • Medium helmet – Divines
  • Medium chest – Infused
  • Medium pants – invigorating
  • Light chest – invigorating
  • Light pants – Invigorating
  • Heavy chest – well adjusted
  • Heavy pants – invigorating
  • Heavy shoulders – Robust
  • One-handed ax – Infused

This is by no means a complete list, but it should be more than enough to get you started.

Tip: Always make feature finders with the cheapest materials. These are generally the lowest (Jute, Rawhide, Maple, Iron).

You can also try your luck by selling Nirhoned armor and weapons. You can expect to earn 500-1000g per sale. If you can’t make it, do a quick search on your alt.

Nickel and other stylish materials

Did you know that you can buy basic racial style stones from sellers? These include all of the basic playable races. All of these stylish materials can be purchased from sellers for 15g each.

Nickel style material

You can buy nickel and other basic racial style materials from suppliers.

Nickel is used to make objects in the imperial style. The average price on my guild stores is 32g per piece. You can see recent sales from my 4 trading guilds in the screenshot below:

Nickel sales

Nickel sales in my trading guilds

You will notice that Nickels often sells for 30g, quickly doubling your investment. The other style materials have smaller profit margins, but can be listed for additional income.

Again, this tip will not make you rich. But it is still one of the easiest ways to get an occasional influx of gold.

If you have multiple manufacturing alts, you will be spending a ton of style materials for daily writing. All style stones for sale at guild merchants priced below 15g are worth buying.

Harmony & Protection rings

If you have access to the Summerset DLC and therefore jewelry making, you can make easy gold by making jewelry with Harmony and protective traits.

Making a protective line requires titanium, while harmony requires dibellium line material. To make a ring or necklace, you will also need 6 ounces of tin (60 g total).

On guild stores, a titanium weighs 600g and a dibellium 700g. It’s very simple to do the calculation here.

My Harmony jewelry sales are displayed below:

Harmony jewelry sale

My Harmony jewelry sales over a week

Bloodthirsty and Triune jewelry also tend to sell well, as long as you don’t pay too much for the line materials.

You can expect to sell a piece of jewelry every day or two, per guild. Other non-basic jewelry line materials have higher prices and lower profit margins and are not worth buying / making for profit.

Psijic portals

Another Summerset tip is to get the Skill Line Psijic Order on all the characters you travel with. Psijic portals are essentially similar in terms of rewards to treasure chests. It’s a nice little bonus that you will come across quite often.

Psijic portal

Psijic portals are easy to spot, especially at night. If more than one character is researching or collecting investigation reports, you will see them very often.

You only need to unlock the Psijic Order skill line to see the portals. Fortunately, it doesn’t need to be leveled, which is probably the most disgusting and boring quest line I have ever done.

Fill the soul gems

Empty Soul Gems sell in guild stores for 14g each, while Filled Gems sell for 30g. You can buy a stack of empty Soul Gems and fill them all up quickly.

Soul Gems

Soul Gem Awards

If you have additional crafting alts, you will also get some free empty soul gems each day by doing the Enchant daily writing. Either way, you should have a surplus of Soul Gems, but for a quick price, you can very easily buy more in stores.

An easy way to quickly fill many gems is with the Baxilt-Gah (Box-Xul card marker) boss in Murkmire. It generates a ton of skeletons, and you can spam Soul Trap (Soul Magic skill line) on each of them. This method should easily fill 50 to 70 gems in a matter of minutes. Including the boss respawn time, you can probably fill a stack of gems in 15 minutes, giving you an easy profit of 3000g.

Alternatively, you can try wasp nests in Reaper’s March and Craglorn, Mudcrabs in Fungal Grotto, or just fill in gems while searching otherwise.

And because you probably missed it: 30g is the price you can get for a completed Soul Gem by selling it to a seller. You don’t even have to worry about signing up for guild stores!

Check your guilds for filled soul gems too. You can often find players who sell less than 30g.

Dolmens and geysers

Dolmens are a quick and easy method of earning a few coins for little work. Most of the gold earnings of dolmens come from the sale or deconstruction of jewelry to obtain grains of improvement.

Mother of pearl powderIf you want to try dolmens farming, you should definitely consider the Alik’r desert. There are large groups of players who run them 24/7. Deshaan is the best for profits, like CP160 Mother’s Sorrow and Plague Doctor jewelry are both precious.

The geysers are located in the Summerset area. They basically work the same way as dolmens, but have slightly better rewards. They often give you Mother of pearl powder alchemy ingredient, worth 3 to 4 carats. You can also get many items to sell or deconstruct.

For additional profits, take this opportunity to refill Soul Gems.

Agricultural raw materials

Corn flower

Almost 300g for a flower of corn, it’s worth stopping and picking up each time.

I tend to avoid growing raw materials because I get more than enough knots rich in Investigation reports. Normally, growing rough carpets is too obvious to even be mentioned in a gold making guide, but I would like to mention a few tips and tricks that could maximize your efficiency.

First of all, I highly recommend 75 Champion points in The Lover tree. Abundant harvest (10 PC required) gives you a 10% chance of receiving double materials. 75 points unlock Master Gatherer, reducing your gathering time by 50% (great improvement in quality of life).

Growing herbs and jewelry dust is the most profitable. The herbs are worth 50 g to 250 g each. The dust is worth at least 50g each (raw). Raw clothes, the forge and carpentry materials are not too late, with prices around 30g per piece.

You may want to consider selling all materials in raw and unrefined form, unless you have a maximum of points in refinement for each of these occupations (increased chances of obtaining improvement materials when refining raw materials ).

If you want 2 to 3,000 gold coins for 10 minutes of work, simply browse any area and collect the raw materials. To maximize profits, only collect jewelry and alchemy ingredients.

Start zones are the best at finding tons of craft materials, especially if you want a long session of farming. These include Bleakrock Isle (probably the best), Khenarthi’s Roost and Stros M’Kai, Betnikh and Bal’Foyen being just as good. Summerset also appears to have a plethora of resource knots, but may lack jewelry stitching.

Tip: Steed Mundus gives you 10% movement speed, you can easily switch to it if you plan to grow longer. Quick maneuver (Alliance War skill line) is highly recommended at all times, but especially when you run a lot.

It is best to grow raw materials in short sessions, and preferably doing something else, such as waiting for boss appearances. This is the most consistent way to get fairly large amounts of gold without counting on luck.

Treasure chests in Deshaan and stone waterfalls

The treasure chests of the falling rocks deposit a set of earthly Soie du Soleil objects. Deshaan donates items from Mother’s Sorrow that are even more valuable. Rivenspire’s necropotence is somewhere in the middle.

Some of these fixed parts are inexpensive, but some with good features can sell for tens of thousands. The divine trait is generally very sought after on pieces of armor. Keep in mind that only items with CP 160 are sold, so this method of growing gold is not possible for new players.

Tip: get Treasure Hunter in The Shadow tree. It requires 75 Champion points spent, but increases the rarity of items you find in treasure chests.

For increased potential profits, you can also study purchases Treasure maps in guild stores. Stonefalls and Deshaan treasure maps are more expensive than those in other areas, but they can pay off big.

Returning items

Many players naturally do not like to delve too much into the economy. Making gold by returning items (buying and reselling) is not everyone’s cup of tea.

You can literally return anything. Anything you can find undervalued can usually be sold for profit, and the possibilities are endless here. That’s why I’m not going to bother to mention exactly what to return, as it doesn’t matter. I’m just going to give you some tips and tricks to get you started.

Easiest flips: raw materials

You can buy raw materials at low prices from guild stores and refine them. This requires refinement skill points in the professions to be worth it. The prices of a stack of raw materials are usually just above the price of a legendary upgrade material. Each refinement has a 5% chance of giving you legendary material.

This means that you should, on average, collect your gold as long as you don’t pay more than 40g per raw material. Refined Ruby Ash Wood and Ancestor Silk are 6 to 8,000 per stack, so don’t discount the price of refined materials either.

Stunning patterns

An important word of warning first. Style pattern pages and books, especially recently published ones, are always very expensive. Their prices tend to drop significantly over time, so I wouldn’t recommend buying them unless you can return them quickly. Older designs with more stable prices can be good purchases.

In general, buying patterns in area cats can also be lucrative. Players who advertise in area chats often look for quick sales and give them a discount. It is imperative to have the Master Merchant add-on so that you can always see prices, trends and sales history at a glance.

Good opportunities to resell newly published designs are area cats, of course. Many players trade pages of more expensive designs (usually chest pieces) for the missing ones. If you have cheaper designs, be sure to exchange them for more expensive designs. Just be sure to resell them very quickly before prices drop too low.

Resell with improved quality

Items from Necropotence, Mother’s Sorrow, Plague Doctor, or similar sets of land objects tend to sell well. There are often big differences in the prices of blue and purple items.

You can buy them with a green or blue quality, improve them in purple and resell them at a profit.

It is not something that bothers me more since they tend to take a week or more to sell. Having a free ad space for something else brings me more profits during that time.

Resell stylish materials

You can sometimes find extremely inexpensive items that can be deconstructed into more precious racial style stones.

Argonian elder

Search parameters for old Argonian style equipment

The elder Argonian is a good example. The Murkmire area and materials have been available for more than 3 months at the time of writing this section, so there is some profit to be made for a while. The same principle can also be used for all future areas, so keep an eye on the future.

Hawk plumage sale

Each plumage of Hackwing (ancient material of Argonian style) is worth 1,800g.

Rawl’Kha (Reaper’s March), Vvardenfell’s Gnisis, Balmora and Vivec, Vulkhel Guard (Auridon), Daggerafall (Glenumbra), Davon’s Watch (Stonefalls), etc.

Conseils d’économie d’or
