Jewelry Making Guide

Jewelry Crafting Guide

Jewelry Making GuideJewelry making is the latest profession added to The Elder Scrolls online in Summerset chapter. The goal of the profession is to give players additional freedom to build characters and personalize equipment choices.

Jewelry making uses many of the same concepts as other TESO professions. Collecting materials, researching features and developing the new range of jewelry making skills are similar to what we are used to. However, jewelry making also introduces new raw materials and collection nodes and new traits.

This guide will give you a basic overview of everything related to the profession of jeweler, so if you are interested, curious or confused, it should answer all your questions.

Jewelry making basics

Jewelry making allows players to create custom rings and necklaces. Jewelry items finally allow players to craft rings and necks that are part of sets designed by players, and introduce six new traits.

The traditional methods of acquiring objects for the neck and rings are still present in the game and did not become obsolete with the introduction of jewelry. The developers have made the search for features intentionally long and it is difficult to obtain materials to ensure that existing items are not obsolete and to prevent players from quickly buying the best jewelry.

Craft stations

To access jewelry making, you must have ESO: Summerset expansion. Having an ESO + subscription does not count, you will need to specifically purchase Summerset DLC.

Players who do not have this chapter are not able to make rings and necklaces, but they are still able to collect raw resources from knots found around the world.

Even if you don’t have Summerset, you can still equip items made by other players.

Jewelry making stations are located in the towns next to all the other craft stations. This includes the manufacturing locations of the items. Item bonuses can now be crafted on rings and necklaces in the same manner as other equipment.

Note: To start making daily jewelry-making quests (briefs), you must complete the certification quest given by High Elf Felarian to Alinor. More details in Jewelry making scriptures section below!

Jewelry making stations allow you to create new jewelry, refine rough craft materials, deconstruct existing jewelry, improve quality, or research jewelry traits.

Master merchants allow you to purchase jewelry stations for your home, but you can still use the stations only if you own them Summerset.

To make jewelry, you must collect “Stitching“. These nodes provide raw (unrefined) materials called dust, which can be refined into “Ounces“The seams are everywhere Tamriel, and can be collected by anyone, whether owner or not Summerset expansion or not.

Depending on your character level and the amount of skill points invested in Engraver passive in the Jewel Crafting skill tree, you can collect the following raw dust:

Raw materials (dust): Character level:
Tin Level 1 to 25
Copper Level 26 to 50
silver Champion level 10 to 70
Electrum Champion level 80 to 140
Platinum Champion level 150 to 160

To make jewelry, you must first refine the raw materials. This is simply done by visiting any jewelry making station in the world. You don’t need to invest skill points in the new JC skill line to refine higher level materials, but you need points in “Engraver” to make higher level jewelry.

Jewelry manufacturing skill line

ESO has no shortage of skill points, and to use higher level jewelry, you will need to invest a few skill points. The jewelry manufacturing skill line includes the following passive:

  1. Engraver (5) – Allows you to use higher level materials. The first rank is granted free of charge when you get the skill line.
  2. Keen Eye: Jewelry (3) – Highlights resource nodes with a subtle glow in the world.
  3. Jewelry extraction (3) – Increases your chances of receiving materials during the deconstruction of existing jewelry and increases your chances of obtaining better quality grains when refining raw dust.
  4. Lapidary search (4) – Reduces the time required to search for jewelry features.
  5. Platings expertise (3) – Reduces the number of bars needed to improve the jewelry.

The numbers in parentheses indicate the total number of skill points that can be awarded. The fully maximized jewelry skill line requires 17 skill points.

Just like the others creation of skill lines, jewelry making also includes a number of essential liabilities. Below is a brief breakdown of these liabilities, giving new players an idea of how many skill points they may need to spend.

Spend points in Engraver is a must if you intend to do high level crafts. Keen eye is very optional, but it helps to locate collection nodes around the world. You can only spend one point for the glow effect, but the radius increases with two additional points. I found Keen eye especially useless because Dust seams are fairly easy to spot around the world.

Screen of refinement of jewelry making materials

Refining the raw dust with points in “Extraction” gives you a greater chance of receiving grains and sprayed line objects. The refining of grains and draft materials has no by-products.

Jewelry extraction is beneficial if you want more materials and highly recommended. Note that you can NOT deconstruct objects obtained before Summerset room. Jewelry that cannot be deconstructed has aIt cannot be deconstructed“Note in item’s tooltip. No dots Extraction raw refining dust not worth it, in which case it would be better to sell it raw in guild stores to maximize your gold.

Lapidary search is also recommended. Researching traits is time consuming, and these skill points can help you unlock additional traits faster. You can delete the points later after all of your searches are complete.

Platings expertise is essential if you want to create jewelry. High quality upgrade materials for jewelry making are scarce and very expensive. Excess leveling materials are easily sold in guild stores.

Other craft professions allow you to research several strokes simultaneously. With jewelry making you can only search for one trait at a time. This means that you cannot even search for separate features for rings and necklaces.

Rings and necklaces with lines fall everywhere Tamriel from a wide range of monsters and activities; more on this below. Finding a trait will require an existing element with the trait.

The time required to search for jewelry features is the same as for other professions: starts at 6 am and doubles for each consecutive search. This can be reduced by up to 20% by investing skill points in “Lapidary search“Passive.

Jewelery making research scrolls are available from Faustina Curio, mediator of achievements. These scrolls cost 10 vouchers and require the “Jewelry Designer” achievement. The scrolls have a 20 hour cooldown and reduce the current search time by 24 hours.

Features and Research

Features and Research

Existing jewelry before Summerset potentially had Arcane, Healthy, and Robust traits, adding magic, health, and stamina respectively. These articles can be used for research purposes even if they were obtained before Summerset.

The expansion introduces however six new traits, including Protective, Triune, Infused, Swift, Harmony and Bloodthirsty.

The table below includes a breakdown of new jewelry traits, including the materials needed to make them, how to get materials, and where to get items for trait searches.

Feature: Effect: Equipment: Source of character:

The jewelry also Complex and Ornate features. These two lines can only fall and cannot be made. Complex trait will increase the gain of experience in your jewelry trade during deconstruction. Ornate feature simply means that you receive extra gold when you sell it to NPC suppliers.

Tip: complex jewelry of any level is sold for 500g and more in guild stores. Consider selling it in case you are not looking to improve your jewelry making.

Exemplary protection ring

The protective trait in the ring is rewarded for completing the main quest in the Summerset scenario.

The materials necessary for the manufacture of lines on jewelry are obtained by deconstruction or via specific sources, as indicated in the table above. In most cases, you will get raw materials in their raw state ”Sprayed“Form: 10 pulverized materials (cereals) must be refined in Platings at a jewelry table before you can use them.

Of course, line materials can also be purchased from other players. New players who are not familiar should see our Feature guide for more information.

Leveling materials

Improvement materials: Grains and trays

Improvement materials: Grains and trays

Jewelry improvement via materials upgrade Its very important. Existing rings and amulets obtained before Summerset can be improved as well as. The legendary quality jewelry has already been obtained in the tests, but the profession of jeweler allows you to upgrade all existing or newly manufactured or deposited objects to legendary quality.

Jewelry upgrade materials are called trays (formerly Bars). A veneer is obtained by refining 10 grains of veneer. The grains are acquired by refining the dust (JC raw materials) into ounces (usable JC materials). Are you still confused?

So to recap, the process is as follows:

  1. Pick up raw materials (called dust) in the harvestable nodes (seams) of the world
  2. Once you have 10 coarse dusts, refine them at any ounce jewelry making station
  3. Each refinement has a chance to give part (grain) of a leveling material (plating)
  4. Collect 10 grains and refine them in 1 plate

Once you have your first plating, you can improve the quality of any necklace or ring. The platings are called and come in the following qualities:

  • Dull: Fine (green)
  • Iridium: Superior (blue)
  • Zircon: Epic (purple)
  • Chromium: Legendary (yellow / gold)

The grains obtained by refining the raw materials are of random quality, and the epic and legendary grains are rare. You can also get cereal by deconstructing jewelry of the same quality.

Table of jewelry making trays

Table of trays

Despite many new and potentially confusing names, jewelry enhancement materials work in essentially the same way as Tannins, Resins and Moods.

Legendary Upgrade Materials (Chromium) are intentionally made very rare to ensure that the best jewelry is difficult to obtain. Again, keep in mind that any jewelry obtained before Summerset’s release cannot be deconstructed for materials. All jewelry after release can be deconstructed.

In addition, jewelry with new features does not fall on sets of existing objects. If you want to add new jewelry making traits to existing item sets, you must re-process them at a transmutation station. You will need the desired trait before you can transmute it.

Jewelry making scriptures

Crafting Writs for jewelry making are available. To start your Jewelry manufacturing certification quest to talk to High elf felarian found near craft stations in the city of Alinor in Summerset.

The High Elf Felarian can be found at approximate coordinates 33 × 70; southwest of the Alinor sanctuary, just before the area with craft stations.

Location Felarian

Felarian gives you the quest for jewelry manufacturing certification. It is located in Alinor, and the exact location is marked with a red circle on the map.

Once you are certified, you can take orders for jewelry making from any board in the world.

Completing your daily jewelry quest gives you a chance to get a master’s brief. Jewelry making Master Writs price Master Writ coupons, which can be used to purchase items Rolis Hlaalu, the Master Writ Mediator.

Tip: Learning additional traits increases your chances of receiving jewelry making masters. Jewelry making master writing (not to be confused with daily quests) unfortunately are not worth completing because the upgrade materials are far too expensive.

Daily jewelry creation quests can also reward you with a Jewelry Making Investigation Report. As with other professions, jewelry investigation reports will take you to a large cache of rich stitching containing a lot of raw dust.

Jewelry rafting surveys are very profitable due to the high prices of the upgrade materials. Each brief should bring you around 100 dusts worth around 5,000 g.
